About Us
At aHead Photonics, we don’t just imagine the future of driving—we’re building it.
Founded in 2023 as a visionary start-up, aHead Photonics is on a mission to revolutionize road safety and elevate the driving experience through cutting-edge Augmented Reality Head-Up Display (HUD) technology. Our system projects critical driving information into a wide field of view, keeping drivers focused, informed, and in control—without ever taking their eyes off the road.
Backed by the pioneering research of Pál Koppa and Ábel Sulyok at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics, our concept breaks away from traditional HUD limitations. With two international patents filed and a TRL5 technology demonstrator we are at the forefront of automotive display innovation. Our future-ready HUD solution is designed to be cost-effective, scalable, and game-changing. By reducing distraction and reaction time, it’s not just smarter—it’s safer.
We’re moving fast toward TRL7 validation in real-world environments. The road ahead is clear—and we’re lighting the way.
Our Vision
Our vision is to revolutionize automotive display technology by delivering radically new, cost-effective, and easily integrable head-up displays (HUDs) with ultra-wide field of view. We harness cutting-edge optical innovations to overcome the limitations of traditional projection systems, enabling safer, clearer, and more immersive driving experience.
